This track is for students who wish to create book/comic covers, posters, sketch cards, and convention sketches. We will focus on single images. Class topics include how to find good reference, graphic compositions., guiding the audience’s eyes, figure drawing, practical perspective, designing graphically, practical templates, how to approach design, how to generate ideas when you have art block, how to portray mood with lighting and color, rendering, and how to develop style,
These are great Heidi! I honestly think with all of the exercises from week 1-4, we covered all of the academic foundations. These exercises are what I feel are necessary for the quickest way to improve. They have been the most useful tools for me to extract ideas from art and incorporate them into my personal taste and style. Now all we have to do to keep up with foundation is to repeat these exercises and continue to build our visual vocabulary and develop our sensibilities. :)
